Chapter 2 gathered paper

I gathered a tissue paper and a fine hand made paper with added fibres.  The tissue was very soft and a little drapable; the handmade paper crisper.

1. tissue cut round and round to make a long thin strip and gathered once through the middle.

2. Hand made paper in separate strips, gathered through the middle and kept on one thread so they could pile together.

3. Several different sized circles of tissue gathered round the circumference and slotted inside each other.

4. A strip of tissue gathered at each end and in the middle - one puff concave, the other convex.

5. A square of tissue gathered on two adjoining sides

6. A square of hand made paper with several rows of gathering pulled unevenly.

7. Squares of tissue gathered and placed with gathers running in opposite directions.

8. Ovals of tissue gathered at one end and joined to make a 3D structure.
